Two years after a crash of a garage for fatal parking in Lower Manhattan claimed a life, property owners are moving to overthrow a neighboring apartment building, according to city data.
Jeffrey Henick, co-owner of the former Garage at 57 Ann St., presented permission this week to the New York City Buildings Department to destroy a four-storey mixed structure in 55 Ann St., reported Crain for the first time.
The building, which includes three residential units and retail with ground flowers, stands next to the site where the garage once operated.
Registrations confirmed by the post show that Henick and his brother Alan won the 55 Ann St. property. for $ 3.7 million in 2014. Brothers and sisters will also appear to have controlled the control of 57 Ann St. Lot since 1989 through a company called after address.
