Granda Gung-Ho sets the goal of traveling the world by bicycle through 100 places: ‘Traveling is like a drug’

This grandmother has her views located at 100.

A 66-year-old grandmother who has already made solo bike through 12 countries-three continents has a high goal of traveling to 100 in total worldwide.

Li Donju of Zhengzhou, China, has wandered in Southeast Asia, Europe and the ocean, tourist sites like Cambodia, France and Australia.

“My goal is to visit at least 100 places,” she told CNN Travel.

“Traveling is like a medicine. Once you enjoy it, you just can’t stop.”

Her trips are not always easy.

Since it only speaks Mandarin, it uses the use of translation applications in order to join the community.

She is also with a narrow budget, so she has made camps in parks, gas stations and even cemeteries, and stayed in the houses of the good Samaritans she met along the way.

The pensioner, who is part of a group of “Silver Travelers” in China, began crossing in 2013 after divorcing and fell into a depression.

“Before cycling, I was very addicted to others … and I felt like a frog in a well,” Dongj told The Outlet.

“Now, I’m a wild wolf – free, fearless and independent.”

At that time, a group of cyclists grieved it one day, gasping “an increase in envy”, which led him to buy a bicycle helmet. Her son then bought her a folding mountain bike.

The first long trip she wanted to get was in Tibet, but she had only $ 23.50 in her name.

Since she was fired at a textile factory in 2002, the donor lived in her pension, which is $ 414 a month.

To make extra money, she spent a year working as a home cleaner and saved enough to start his trip to Southeast Asia with two season cyclists she met online.

Dongju hit a Snaf a week after their journey when it was separated from them in Vietnam.

Fortunately, she became friends with a local cyclist who spoke her language, and she was able to return home for sure.

Impatient, the Dent then planned a second trip, pedaling through 20 Chinese cities with Poodle Xili, which died in 2023.

She even stopped on her trips to get clear concerts in places like baths and hotels in order to raise money to continue her expedition.

Two years later, she returned to Southeast Asia with her bike, accompanied by two elderly friends of cycling.

After three weeks, the two returned home, so the donor finished the 70-day journey, through Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Myanmar alone.

Other impressive donor achievements include bike in the six European countries, as well as Australia and New Zealand.

Her trip to New Zealand was stopped early in the Covid-19 Pandemia, and she did not summarize her bicycle trips alone.

Stay safe, it is in the middle of “doing homework” for a future noise from Kazakhstan to the United Arab Emirates.
