Amazon is making a change of intimacy in Echo – those who disagree can end up with a useless device

The company sent an email to ECHO customers to explain the changes.

However, the email also pointed out that if ECHO settings are decided to “do not save records”, the sound ID will not work. According to Ars Technica, Voice ID allows users to use more personalized features in Alexa, such as dividing the specific user calendar events, memory, music and more.

“Thus, to maintain that functionality, users will need to manually change that qualification,” Ars Technica reported.

“Alexa experience is created to protect the privacy of our clients and keep their data secure, and that is not changing. We are focusing on the tools of intimacy and controls that our customers use the most and work well with generating experiences that rely on Amazon’s secure cloud processing,” said a Amazon spokesman.

“Customers can continue to choose from a strong set of tools and controls, including the option not to maintain their sound recordings. We will continue to learn from customer feedback and building intimacy features on their behalf.”

The measure comes to the company’s discovery heels for her new Alexa with a full adjustment of him, called Alexa+.

Customers on Reddit were not satisfied with the announcement, with many comments expressing their disappointment.
