No child, no problem.
A New Yorker named Natalie has responded to critics who called her “selfish” to keep children, saying she prefers to be “entertainment auntie”.
“I hear the question,“ Who will take care of you when you are older? “Many. I disagree with this,” Newsweek told the 38-year-old parallel and guardian for her father.
“You don’t have to have kids just to make sure someone will take care of you later in life, this is a big burden to settle on them. It is important to make decisions based on what is best for your life, not for fear of the future.”
She has been told that her life will have “silly” if she has no children, an idea she finds “frustrating”. She argued that fulfillment comes not only from parenting.
“I believed that getting married and having children were essential milestones for an understandable life,” said Natalie, who was previously “on the fence” to have children of her action of the years.
However, while I am old, I realized that this is not the case. My life makes sense in my conditions, and I have learned that fulfillment does not depend on the fulfillment of the traditional expectations of society. “
The reaction to her choice to be children came after her Tiktok video on the subject became viral this month.
“Comments I get when I say I don’t want kids: ‘You sound so miserable,” she said in the clip, who was titled, “Call me selfish idc”.

“So miserable in my business class country on a random Wednesday flying to Europe,” she said sarcastically. “Yes I’m so miserable that I don’t have children.”
She argued that she can allow to pay only for her to go on vacation alone – with a buying budget, of course – and will happen to live in a nursing home when she is old.
But critics were quick to punish Natalie in comments, while many other children without children defended her reasoning.
“All the fun all the fun until you realize that you have lived an empty life that you have filled with things,” snarked a user. “Not being able to have a child is one thing, but sharing people they want is not right too.”
“I don’t understand why PPL gets others who don’t want such personal children. If they are jealous, they just have to say that, ”another person led.
“People are just crazy you don’t get tired of the brain and indoctrinated thinking about the value of a woman is just like a mother or woman,” someone else argued.
“Girl I have 4. I love them but I don’t do it,” warned one mother.
“I have children. However, I am so proud of this generation of women who have actually thought of having children. Not just by having them as a ‘natural’ progress of life or obligation, ”cheered another.
Natalie told Newsweek that living her life in “her own terms” challenges society’s norms, which can make some people uncomfortable. “
“Your life is, so don’t let social pressure push you into something you can repent. Having a child is a lifelong commitment, and it is a choice that must be made on purpose – not just to match the idea that motherhood is the only way to a significant life, ”she said.
“I believe it is more selfish to have children for the wrong realities than to choose not to have them.”
