Batiste said she was also provided by the woman’s comments because the grocery store is near a gym and surely people always come to dress active dresses.

Others argued that she should be able to wear “whatever she wants”, another said wearing active clothing in stores should not be treated as a “crime”, and someone else said, “Thank you for standing for everyone.”
“The answer has been 50/50 positive and negative,” she said.
“I am actually shocked by some of the comments of the people who support it when they have no idea what I’m wearing.”
She said older people seemed inclined to jump into a “hate gang”, but the young men were more on her side, sharing that they were fitness or shopping all the time.
