If you are a fiery doomscroller, you are probably told to touch the grass.
According to a 2024 report, about 1 in 2 adults in the JSC are exposed to the time of “excess” screen – which is defined as seven or more hours a day – and about 30% of adults reach that point only from recreational activity, not work.
It is important for those who are spending seven hours a day on their screens to go “touching”, a popular term of online jargon which means participating in real -world activities compared to internet experiences and interactions.
There is now an app that will make you literally touch the bar money so you can move again.
The viral app, called Touch Grass, of course, will require you to choose two applications you see are more attractive or more demanding, and the app will block them.
The only way to unlock your applications is to take a picture of yourself out by word touching and uploading it to touch the grass. Then you will be able to choose how long you can have in each application.
While some people use an app, which strikes you offer an app after a certain time on it, touch the grass and forces the user to go outside – and you can’t use the app until you do so.
The app was created by British app developer Rhys Kentish when he noticed he was spending a lot of time on his phone and decided he did not want to be part of a statistic.
“My morning reflex was to reach, grab my phone and start moving. I know this was not healthy and at the top of that, I needed an incentive to come out more, especially in the winter months,” Kentish told CNET.
“I also love applications that unite the digital world with the real world and found the concept of touching the ridiculous grass, so I thought, why not create an app that forces me to do it?”
Touch Grass will be available on the App Store for iPhone users on Friday, March 14, and is available for pre-poros now. The app is free, although the improvement will cost $ 6 a month or $ 50 in annally.
Update at the Pro level will allow the user to block an unlimited number of applications than only two and will provide more detailed reports of time on the screen. Users can also get a free pass per month, where they can unlock their applications without going out, but any more pass will have to be bought.
Kentish knows that the idea is meaningless, but he believes there is also a purpose of ending the knee.
“I hope you first give [users] A good, but most importantly hope that he offers them a chance to break away from the shackles of the digital world and allow them to relate more to nature, ”he told Cnet.
