Travelers are calling for airlines to actively stop line switches during the dormitory process.
American Airlines has already begun to stop people from riding in front of their right area, otherwise known as the “gate lice”.
Last year, before thanksgiving, American distributed a new technology used during the dormitory hearing with listening to Gates when a passerby is trying to get ahead of their assigned task, the Fox News Digital Report.
Other airlines have not yet adopted this protocol and passengers appear to be noticeable the negative effects of gate lice.
A flight passenger went to the sub-Reddit r/unitedirlines to share their disappointment about the trend of travel and how other passengers negatively affect.
“Kudos to [American Airlines] To take the direction to break down the annoying people, who are either too wild to ride with their assigned group or simply deviating into an attempt to ride faster on a board, ”the Reddi user wrote.
The user also said the gate lice affect the way people hold the luggage carried.
“With the upper bins space with a premium. This issue really matters. There is nothing worse than you have to store your wearing [in] rows after your seat and then you have to wait until [everyone] Deplanon before you can withdraw. And it happens. “
Other Reddit users were thrown into the conversation to share their feelings for the gate lice.
“As a port agent, it annoys us as much as the rest,” one user wrote. “Sometimes people are sneaky and tap in the QR code on their phone, so we can’t see the group number, but in the last few weeks we have started implementing it.
“Yes, you get the random random eye from someone in the first group, but it’s not worth having to catch the plane bags and check them there. Same with families with children; since I make the notifications I started saying ‘baby’ instead of children under 3 years old,” continued the same user.
Another user who said he or she recently flew on an international flight said Gate agents had removed people not to ride in their set group.
“They also had a flight companion in that every dormitory person was only putting a single larger hold/roller in the upper bin there was an empty space you were walking, you can’t use it if it wasn’t for your place,” the person wrote.
“I loved this very much. Everyone was able to get their bags at the top, it was near the place where you were sitting, and it seemed that the people who were accustomed to this airline were not bothered by riding later they know there would be room for their belongings. “
“I wish you unite and other carriers to implement this. This made the dormitory experience easy, ”the user added.
Fox News Digital reached the United Airlines and American Airlines for comment.
United have its own board process that has been following since 2023, which has to do with the advantage of seat locations.
An internal self was sent from the Agoikago -based airline at the time, announcing staff of its dormitory policy that has “passengers of the economy with window sites [boarding] In Group 3 followed by passengers with medium places in Group 4 and passengers in row places in Group 5, ”Fox Business reported.
The seat plan, called Wilma, which stands for medium aisle, will save up to two minutes in the dormitory process for each flight. Change will affect all domestic and some international flights.
California -based courtesy expert Rosalinda Randall shared an overview of why new technology could become necessary.
“There have always been passengers trying to get around the general dormitory process. Today, it has become more prevalence. When caught, instead of accepting it or tightening it with a cliché, ‘there is no harm in the effort’, they become combat, waiting for their demands to meet,” Randall said.
“The gate lice can have different reasons to dance in front of their designated area. In addition to having a narrow connecting flight or traveling with a disabled passenger, wait for your row, ”she added.
Randall said those who ride in front of their designated area are “making unstable” if they choose to place their luggage on the “Prima bin space”.
“WHAT’S WHAT IS OTHERSHIP, GROWTH IN OUR WITH OUR TASKS TASK? When we do not follow simple instructions, airlines are forced to create rules. Yes, for those of us trying to follow the rules and practice courtesy, it is frustrating and is disappointing,” she said.
“If only the usual courtesy, AA or other airlines were practiced would not need to create a new position. While our social skills and courtesy weaken, the creation of a dormitory technology position seems to be guaranteed,” Randall said.
“The days have passed when the pressure of colleagues, like other passengers, would remind the gate lice to return to their designated area. Today, speaking up can quickly turn into a quarrel.”
