More than half of Americans experience “fear of fear” every tax season, according to new research.
From the stress to start your taxes in the first place to worry if everything was properly filled, a survey of US 2,004 taxpayers found that these feelings of anxiety consume 54% of the answer.
The survey also shared the zodiac sign respondents to see if tax filing habits can be written in the stars.
“Fear Record” is especially true for tauruses, as almost one in five (19%) features of “many” annual anxiety, compared to only 10% of Aquarius and Dashi.
Perhaps by contributing to that stress, almost one in five (16%) Taurus owes the IRS money they didn’t. One in five Scorpios (19%) admits that they have accidentally filled something incorrectly before and 15% of the book waited for the last day to submit.
Another source of tax anxiety may be that 17% and bulls are waiting until April to submit their taxes and 17% admit that they usually finish philing later than it was planned.
Interestingly, Dashi is more likely to wait until April to submit their taxes (19%), although they are also more likely to sign to stay with that timeframe and present when they planned (71%), this may be why their less experience.
In previous years, those who end up representing their domestic (16%) term usually do so simply because they delay (45%), while almost one in five (16%) worry that it will need to give Irive money than to receive money.
Performed by Talker Research on behalf of the Chime banking app, the survey explored the highest and low levels of the tax season and found some surprising zodiac correlations.
Scorpions were found to be the last prosecutors (58%), while Virgos would make Raher do things other than tax filing (23%). Taurus are more likely to forget to present in the first place (25%).
On the rolling side of the early files (16%), cancers do this because they just want to get it with (62%) and Leo need quick money for other expenses (46%).
Meanwhile, Capricorns are more likely to present earlier than planned (23%). File twins at first, so that they plan their spring and spring journey (24%), while the aquaries are willing to plan and reserve their summer advice (25%).
“The tax season can be dizzying, and the longer you wait, the more stressful it can be. Starting a start of your head gives you peace and ensures that you have time to capture errors and Avaid surprises in the last minute,” Kanele Salrenve, chief chime expense official, said. “Sometimes surprises like the extra costs you didn’t expect to pay to present can make the process even more disappointing. So your research, and make sure you are using a service that does not charge the state or federal submission fees. “
More than half of all responses (51%) agree to wait for their taxes, the longer they become stressed.
The good news is that in 2025, 55% of the late late filters are planning to “disrupt the cycle” and avoid their late taxes.
However, only 28% of poluar Americans were able to identify that the IRS begins to accept and process tax returns at the end of January, with only 23% of aquaries and Leos taking it right.
Sagittarius (27%) will most likely dream of submitting their taxes year after year and they also feel more concerned after appearing than any other sign (19%).
On the other hand, after the philing process is complete, Gemini feels relief (60%) and Capricorns feel satisfied (43%), while the exhausted book (10%).
However, after everything is presented, Americans feel financially secure (26%) and that their financial situation improves (24%).
“Tax management can be complicated, and with so much details to be deceived, it’s easy to feel stressed. “For example, only 27% of the answers will use an app to submit, which suggests that many sources of easy use are lacking that can help simplify experience and reduce tax season strain.”
