Google Brin co -founder is calling on employees working on artificial intelligence to spend at least 60 hours a week in the office while search giant Openai, Meta, Elon Xai and China -based Deepseek.
Brin, which is worth $ 144 billion, told his workers in one that longer hours are essential for Google to win the race to develop the general artificial intelligence defined as the intelligence of human or greater intelligence.
“I recommend being in the office at least every day of the week,” Brin himself said, which was first taken from the New York Times.
Brin added that “60 hours a week is the sweet place of productivity” in Missive, which sent to employees working in Google twins.
In the same itself, Brin also exploded some Google employees not to do enough to contribute.
“A number of people work less than 60 hours and a small number set to the bare minimum to get,” Brin wrote. “This latter group is not only unproductive, but it can also be very demoralizing for everyone else.”
Memo does not apply to Google employees more broadly, according to the report.
Google currently requires its employees to be in the office at least three days a week.
The post has reached Google to comment on its own.
Brin withdrew as President of Google in December 2019, but holds a place on board its directors and has been ongoing to play an active role in its development.
The billionaire was listed as a “essential contributor” to the original white letter to Google Gemini.
Google is one of several technology giants that compete for developing, chatbots and other centered products.
Openai and Grok have issued any major updates for their chatbots within the last week.
And last month, Deepseek sparked a $ 1 trillion sale in US markets revealing a model that claimed to have trained for less than $ 6 million.
With full -time competition, high -tech executives are pressuring their employees to deliver better results.
Meta recently ceased about 4,000 employees, or 5% of its labor force after identifying the “low interpreters” within its ranks.
At the same time, Mark Zuckerberg told the Feta workforce that he expects an “intense year” in the industry.
