Meta Boss Mark Zuckerberg fired “approximately 20” employees who spilled “confidential information” about social media giant – weeks after the type of technology complained about leaks – and more heads can soon be rolling, the company said on Thursday.
“We tell employees when they join the company, and we offer periodic reminder that it is against our internal police information, regardless of the purpose,” said a flawed spokesman in a state.
“We have recently conducted an investigation that turns out that about 20 employees will end up sharing confidential information outside the company, and we expect more.”
The Facebook and Instagram parent did not provide details on how they revealed who the suspected deceitful employees were or in which departments work.
The expiration follows some cases in which remarks from Zuckerberg and high high bronze made during internal meetings or were sent to Meos company were presented in news reports.
Meta is supported by internal distribution after Zuckerberg removed NISMMA DEI and ended the controversial efforts of company control, the movements that critics claim to have become comfortable for President Trump.
During a January Q & A session with Meta employees about the latest change of running the company, Zuckerberg clashed with the fact that his recovery is likely to end up in the media.
“We try to be really open and then all that I say leaks,” said Zuckerberg, according to The Verge, who first reported Thursday’s fires. “That inhales.”
As predicted, Zuckerberg’s comments were immediately discovered – which pushed Meta to light a company of its own – warned by a company that Leakers would be fired.
“When the information is stolen or discovered, there are consequences beyond the impact of security immediately,” said Meta Guy Rosen leading security officer. “Our team becomes demoralized and we all waste time spending better working on our products and towards our goals and mission.”
Meta technology official Andrew Bosworth later said the company was “progressing to people’s capture” – remarks that also discovered in the press.
The fires come to the top of about 4,000 workers fired earlier this month, who were classified as “low interpreters”. The cuts reach about 5% of the company’s workforce.
Zuckerberg said he expects an “intense year” ahead after Meta competes with rivals to develop advanced artificial intelligence products and signaled that the company would hire new works to replace the crashed employees.
