Trends travel quickly to tiktok – and not always for good.
One of Italy’s most popular ski destinations has been exceeded by Tiktok tourists who follow at the foot of their favorite influencers.
Viral influencers’ posts regarding Roccaras, a high destination of skiing in central Italy, led to 10,000 days of leaders to occupy the resort last week, causing chaos on slopes, traffic jams and bad behavior charges, CNN reported .
Following viral posts of snowfall at the resort, tourist companies in the city of Naples begin to organize free tours for residents to speak in the mountains one day.
In addition to a flow of cars full of visitors, 220 tour buses made a two -hour trip, 78 miles to the ski destination, which angered 1,500 residents of the area and ended up blocking narrow tourist roads.
Visitors paid $ 20 for the trip, which included a sandwich, and allegedly ignoring the proper ski labels and sliding down, made of things like the pan. Some videos on social media revealed visitors that shine barbecues and leaving trash in their wake.
Local media is blaming a ticker: Rita de Crescenzo, a popular influencer from Naples.
From Crescenzo posted a series of videos on Tiktok and other social media platforms telling people that they should come to see the snow in Roccaras.
These companies and tourist organizers quickly used posts, offering deals for the latest tourist experience.
The municipalities around Roccaraso were prompted to implement the control measures of urgent crowds, including restricting bus access to tournaments.
In a video response, Crescenzo said it was no fault that tournament buses were blocking roads and angry local.
“I do such a beautiful ad for Roccaraso where I was on Monday and Tuesday and the crowd went crazy because I put on great videos,” she said in the post.
Roccaraso Mayor Francesco di Donato told CNN that tournament buses were “a real attack” in the area, which made the situation “devilish”, especially for residents around the resort or Guuets have season crossings.
“Go to Roccaras for 15 euros without a bill? Discard the garbage into the snow? What are we talking about? Francesco Emilio Borrelli, a Green Party politician from Napoli, said in a Facebook video.
“People who have passes and follow the rules were made to wait three hours in their cars for these people who did not have permission or transitions to be there. Not in my name as non -Politan.”
Although some visitors were again caught on social media, claiming that the locals were discriminating against them because they are from Naples, Dona said their city of origin had nothing to do with the overestimation issue.
“Roccaraso welcomes and wants to welcome more and more tourists, but civil and accurate skiers,” he said. “The roccaraso system is unable to contain the assumption of those who only come on Sundays. We cannot place a thousand chemical baths in a ski resort.”
“I’m on the road. These people have no patience. They get nervous. They don’t give a curse on cars coming. Sooner or later you risk the accident. I say it firmly: they have to face this phenomenon as if it were a match football. “
On a regular two-day winter weekend, the resort usually sees about 20,000 skiers and additional 15,000 who were caught and traveling-but 10,000 visitors added last week added a security concern for the resort.
