Google offers ‘voluntary’ purchases to ensure that workers are ‘dedicated’

Google has offered “volunteer” purchases to more than 25,000 employees in an effort to establish its work power is “specifically engaged” for its purposes, the company confirmed on Monday.

Great technology extended the unusual offer last week for members of the Division of platforms and its equipment, which includes teams responsible for its Android software, Chrome Browser and Google Photos, as well as hardware such as Pixel, Fitbit and Nest.

“There is an extraordinary moment in this team and with so much important jobs ahead, we want everyone to be deeply committed to our mission and focus on building excellent products, rapidly and efficiently,” the state added.

Google employees have until February. 20 to apply for the purchase and you will discover until March 25 if they are approved, according to CNBC.

It was not immediately clear how many of the more than 25,000 separation employees are powerful for the purchase or what would be the detachment package.

Google did not respond immediately to the posting request comment.

Google’s parent alphabet shares were down about 1% in early trading on Monday.

Like most American technology firms, Google, led by CEO Sundar Pichai, is pouring large resources in developing advanced artificial intelligence while waiting in other areas of his business.

Anat Ashkenazi, CFO of Google’s parents alphabet, said last October that the company would require “additional opportunity” to reduce costs.

Before the purchase offer area, members of the alphabet workers’ union circulated a petition expressing concern about “Google instability”. It has received more than 1.4000 signatures so far.

Petition requires changes in company policy, including guaranteed secession, pre -dismissal purchases and a guarantee of individual ratings of merit -based employees based on levels.

Google previously fired about 12,000 employees in 2023 and several thousand extra employees in many teams all year long.
