Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg can breathe a sigh of relief.
The homes of Hollywood legends have both been spared from the devastating Los Angeles fires that have ravaged the city this week.
Hanks, 68, and Spielberg, 78, both live in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles, which has been devastated by the Palisades fire, which began burning Tuesday morning.
In aerial photos taken Wednesday and obtained by The Post, the Cast Away actor’s cliffside residence appears unscathed. The man just above Hanks wasn’t so lucky, however. Blackened and still smoking, the structure was engulfed in flames.
Spielberg’s nearby Spanish-style home also appeared to be untouched by the Palisades fire as of Wednesday. Sources also told TMZ that the large property was not damaged.
Famously close to the famous director, Hanks starred in Spielberg’s World War II epic Saving Private Ryan. The pair also worked together on The Terminal, Catch Me If You Can, Bridge of Spies and The Post.
The Oscar-winning friends lived even closer together in Pacific Palisades, separated by just a few blocks in the hilltop community.
The fact that both of their homes have survived the Palisades fire so far is a miracle, given that entire streets were razed by the flames.
The Post has reached out to representatives for Hanks and Spielberg for comment.
On Tuesday, Hanks’ son and wife Rita Wilson, Chet, 34, shared his grief over the mass destruction.
“The neighborhood I grew up in is burning to the ground,” Chet wrote in his Instagram story.
“Pray for the Palisades,” he added.
Chet, who currently lives in Nashville, grew up in the celebrity-filled community alongside his younger brother Truman, 29. The rapper has two half-sisters, Colin, 47, and Elizabeth, 42, from his famous father’s previous marriage to actress Samantha Lewes.
Thousands of other Angelenos, including many celebrities, have not been as fortunate as Hanks and Spielberg.
Anthony Hopkins, Billy Crystal, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, as well as Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, have all lost their homes in the fires.
Five fires continue to burn across areas of Los Angeles County, including Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, Malibu and Altadena. An estimated 30,000 hectares have burned, with tens of thousands forced to flee following evacuation orders.
With damages now estimated at between $52 billion and $57 billion, the fires have become the costliest in Los Angeles’ history.
The causes of the fire are not yet known and are being investigated by the city authorities.
