Zip codes where house prices have seen the largest growth over the past 12 months reveal a newly surprising collection of potential hot spots, where property owners could find them sitting on an increasingly valuable asset.
Amidst the increase in economic instability and stock markets, Realtor.comĀ® data have discovered 10 areas where house prices have increased since the first quarter of 2024 – with Sheffield, A, emerging as one of the ZIP codes with the highest average growth.
Most of the 10 zip codes where house prices have risen are located in “relatively affordable” areas, according to high economic research analyst Hannah Jones, who notes that increasing competition for affordable housing has helped prices mark a higher than more.
“Many of the ZIP codes where house prices have grown more over the past year are relatively affordable,” Jones explains. “High costs of housing have increased demand for affordable homes, which increases competition and house prices.”
In Sheffield, the average home price increased by 50% from the Q1 I 2024 to the Q1 of 2025, while APache Junction, AZ, without a similar trend above.
