NYC Influencer releases warning to followers after a terrible fracture: ‘heart immersed in my feet’

A New York City influencer has issued a serious warning of the importance of closing – and deadbolting – your front door, after a man entered her luxury Manhattan apartment in the middle of the night while she was only in her bed.

Kate Bartlett, 25, has lived in New York for more than five years, during which time she has built great social media following the rules videos about her favorite models, daily routines and delightful trips abroad.

However, she recently set aside her content to focus on a much more serious topic, opening up a worrying meeting she had with a late night interference and the lessons the incident taught her security, especially for everyone.

At the beginning of the video, Bartlett stressed that she “debated” telling her story for a “long time”. After all, she decided to be “worth” if her experience could help keep “a safe person”.

“So two years ago, a casual man entered my New York City apartment in the middle of the night while I was there,” she said as she warned viewers to keep their doors “closed and dead”.

Bartlett continued to point out that the location of her high -rise apartment, as well as security all the time in her building, had given her false security sense, especially because she believed she was living in a “very safe” area.

“Two years ago, I lived in a luxury building in the city center, I had a 24-hour Doorman and I was on the 42nd floor in a very safe neighborhood,” she explained. The main system in its building was more like a hotel, using key cards than traditional metal keys.

“So dogs for all apartments in the building were a key card system. So it wasn’t like a key you had to come back and lock. It was like a hotel key to scan and the door would open,” she continued.

“Of course, you need a key card to open the door, but they also had a deadbolt for an additional layer of protection.”

Bartlett admitted that often, when she was sleeping, she would simply close the door and not extinguish it because the man she was meeting at the time would happen later and had his key.

“A very, very casual week of the week, around 11:45 pm until midnight.

“And since the dogs had an electrical system, they were very heavy doors, so they would make a very loud noise when they were opened or closed.

However, what seemed innocent turned out to be the worst nightmare of the influencer as she quickly discovered that the man who had entered her home was not her boyfriend.

“I would say that five minutes passed, and I was listening to rustling around and someone trying to light the switches of light – which were difficult to light – moving things around,” Bartlett added. “So finally, I’m like, ‘Hello, Hello?’ And I am calling his name and listening to the voice of a man to say, ‘No, this is the keeping of the house.’

The 25-year-old found that “her heart sunshine sinks at my feet” at that moment, and she began to search for what she could use to protect her, finally grabbing her tripod as a gun before she entered the living room to confront the intervention.

“I listen to this man finishing, and the door of the door closed. I open the door and see a man running down the corridor and running the stairs. Terrible, and those literally asked me if I was hallucinating.

“The next night, the same thing happens with another girl in the same building. They all finally believe me now. Some days go by, and they actually end up catching this man in the service elevator,” she added.

However, the influencer found that the police were unable to make an arrest.

“Because my building had no sign” without violation “nowhere, legally, they could do nothing,” she explained. “So they just had to let him go. The same thing happened for me to say three or four women in the building where I lived, and I really don’t think it was targeted, but I really don’t know.

“Months later, they finally managed to arrest him or do something. I do not really know what they did, I moved.”

At the end of the clip, the content maker called fans to block their doors even if they live in a “luxury building”.

People online gathered in the commentary section and expressed their shock about the situation, as much as influential for sharing its history.

According to Atttorney Girvin Ferlazzo, signs “without violation” are not mandatory in New York City and the violation can still be considered illegal if there are no sign positions.
