Beauty is pain – especially when implanted.
Playboy model Janaina Prazeres says she is still suffering the side effects of a so -called “beauty chips” three years after removing it, including a study she did not require.
The Brazilian beauty, 35, said she spent $ 5,952 ($ 4,600) on an experimental device, predicted in some places for weight loss, anti-aging, menopause relief and increased sexual desire, muscle mass and lowering fat.
In Brazil, subcutaneous hormone implants, called “beauty chips”, were initially sold for cosmetic purposes. However, Anvva, the national health regulator, has banned them because of the dangerous side effects.
These implants, often containing synthetic hormones such as testosterone or estrogen, were promoted for muscle growth, fat decrease, better skin, menstrual pressure and body formation for sexual attraction.
Doctors have warned of complications like hormone imbalance and now, Prazeres are sharing its history as a warning tale.
“The result was the opposite of what I had hoped for,” Prazeres told Prazeres, “Plefect Woman” of Playboy, “Jam Press said.
The controversial influencer showed that having the implanted chip “caused an overload of unnecessary hormones” in her body and also led to “kidney complications, hair loss and clitoral expansion”.
Prazeres, often glorified for her sculpted physique, initially followed this “innovative fashion treatment” for help with “body toning, lowering cellulite, hunger lowering, better skin and becoming more attractive in general”.
Immediately after receiving the secret implant in 2018, Prazeres said she often felt “extremely swollen”, experienced “lots of water retention” and her hunger “has drastically grown to the point of despair.
“I was desperate, I felt terrible and blamed myself to see the mark, but not stopping faster – but I believed in a false promise of beauty,” she admitted.
The birth of São Paulo also noticed “a lot of hair loss”, and it was not everything.
“I insisted on using the chip for two and a half years, but after that, I started to have frequent urinary tract infections and I even developed small kidney stones from excess hormones,” she said.
This then led to the “a change in the size” of its clitoris, expanded by an infection. In order not to allow this to reach its bloodstream, Prazeres “had to take medication and undergo therapy in the area”.
She then demanded “a second thought” and a doctor confirmed that her body had a “high amount of testosterone” and unbalanced hormones.

The doctor warned Prazeres that if she did not bring the chip, “the consequences can become irreversible.”
Making things worse, the previously covered girl had to give up modeling jobs as the chip effects let her feel insecure, to the point that she “couldn’t know” herself.
“One of them was a bathroom clothes campaign with bikini photo photos, for which I had to leave because I no longer felt comfortable in my body,” Prazeres recalled.
This eventually destroyed “self -esteem, daily life and its relationships”.
“I found myself in a cycle from which I could not be saved, not knowing what else that implantation could do me,” Prazeres said.
It reached a turning point and removed the beauty chip in 2022, but also in 2025, some side effects still last.
“My clitoris is even bigger than it was in front of the chip, my menstrual cycle is not synchronized and the loss of my hair only now begins to improvise with the help of professional hairstyles,” Prazeres discovered.
Now she is making her healing her full advantage and hopes her story “serves as a warning to other women” that can be considered a chip -like implant.
“I would not recommend to anyone to get the implant because the promises of beauty do not match the dangers of health that can hurt your life, your health and your self -esteem,” she advised.
Prazeres have a recent advice to other Beuuty enthusiasts: “Follow the right way for your health because well -being is no joke.”
“There is nothing better than taking care of yourself and respecting your body,” she said, concluding that after everything she passed, she “would never recommend this path to anyone.”
