A man has been arrested after allegedly confusing the drink of his associate, who was caught in a secret camera placed by her to capture the culprit in the act.
Joseph Ross, 34, was taken in custody in Milwaukee last week and was accused of placing foreign facilities in a woman’s Coca-Cola in their workplace due to Wisconsin State Fair Park.
The woman, identified as ‘JH’ in a criminal complaint, begins to suspect that her cola was being contaminated after noticing a “strong chemical smell” and became ill after drinking it, as reported by Fox6.
She then installed a supervision camera hidden under her computer to determine if someone was adding something to her drinks, according to the complaint.
After revising the footage, her worst fear was realized as she saw Ross allegedly pouring glue on her drink from a small bottle with a white nose and then leaving the frame.
After making the shocking discovery, JH banned the police in the area, broadcast the information and submitted the footage.
When interviewed, Ross reportedly admitted “added an additional” to his associate’s drink.
Police report that while allegedly confusing her drink, the 34-year-old wore clean latex gloves, which he later threw.
Police receive an order to search for Ross’s office and found Gorilla brand’s gloves and superglu in a ball.
“When the officers discovered the gloves, the officers discovered that each contained an item,” police said.
“One glove contained a blue plastic lid. The other glove contained a super glue container.”
The accused of soft drinks was arrested and charged on Tuesday.
His bail is set at $ 10,000 (approximately $ 15,894 AUD), and he can face 38 months in prison, according to TMJ4.
The motivations that stand behind his actions are not known at this time.
“This is extremely alarming and eventually there are elements of many violence,” Commissioner Andrea Bolender said during Ross Milwaukee County’s virtual hearing on Wednesday.
Wisconsin State Fair Park issued a statement saying: “Both individuals involved were employed by a seller and were not employees of the State Fair park, so we cannot comment on employment status.”
“However, after this incident happened while it was in the Fair State Park, our police department responds, conducted a full investigation and submitted the report to the district lawyer. Moreover, our police department issued an” without violation “order for the individual being charged.
“While this incident did not happen among the employees of the State Park and did not include any defenders, we want to reiterate that security is the main advantage in the Fair Fair Park, and we get these very serious issues.”
