Over 212,000 pounds of liquid eggs that may contain a cleaning solution with sodium hypochlorite are remembered across the country, the US Food and Department of Agriculture Department (FSIS) reported on Friday.
The manufacturer is Cargill Kitchen Solutions, based in Lake Odessa, Michigan.
Liquid egg items were produced on March 12 and 13, 2025.
212.268 pounds of liquid egg products have the number “G1804” printed on cardboard.
The items were sent to the distributors in Ohio and Texas, as well as for the use of food service in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois and Iowa.
“There is a possibility that the products were distributed throughout the country,” the withdrawal announcement reads.
FSS received some advice about the possible contact of these products, the service said in its withdrawal announcement.
“After conducting a full investigation and evaluation of the clear content, FSS scientists concluded that the use of this product should not cause unfavorable health consequences, or the risk is negligible, resulting in a class III attraction.”
No reports of unfavorable reactions have been confirmed so far for the consumption of these products, the announcement also shown.
A grade III withdrawal is considered to be of “marginal danger”.
However, “anyone who worries about a disease should contact a health care provider.”
It is possible, according to FSS, that some customers or food service providers have some of this product in their refrigerators or freezer.
“Customers who are purchased these products are required not to consume them and the food service sites are required not to serve them,” the statement said.
“These products must be thrown or returned to the place of purchase.”
FSS routinely performs “memory effectiveness controls,” she said, to verify that attractive firms notify their clients of withdrawal and “that steps have been taken to make sure the product is no longer available to customers”.
