Veterinary epidemiologist Stephanie Venn-Watson found her action for two decades as she studied the welfare of bottle dolphins, American Navy trains to protect ships and ports.
She noticed that the healthiest dolphins had higher levels of saturated fatty acid C15: 0. When dolphins ate fish rich in C15: 0, their levels of insulin, glucose and cholesterol decreased.
Now, C15: 0 is boiling in longevity circles. Research suggests that the molecule – also called pentadecanoic acid – can reduce the risk of vibrant fat courage, type 2 diabetes and heart disease and possibly return those chronic alogetic conditions.
C15: 0 is also being appreciated for its potential to improve sleep, increase energy and support common-health health is compared to promising drugs against aging rapamycin and metformin.
Venn-Watson and her husband, Eric, a Navy doctor, embraced the power of C15: 0 by launching Supplement Fatty15 in 2021 under the flag of Seraphina Therapeutics.
In her new book, “The Lidgevity Nutrient”, Venn-Watson describes how she went from the Navy Marine Mammary Program to San Diego in C-SUITE while presenting her issue
How does C15: 0 work?
You have probably heard of omega-3 fatty acids, which reduce inflammation and support heart hearth, brain function and a strong immune system.
Like Omega-3, C15: 0 is an essential fatty acid. Our bodies cannot do enough C15: 0 to meet our needs, so it must be obtained through diet or supplementation.
C15: 0 is said to have wider health benefits than omega-3s.
It is found to activate the AMPK, an enzyme that restores energy balance when the levels are low. AMPK activity decreases with age, which can lead to chronic inflammation and metabolic imbalances.
C15: 0 is known to prevent Mtor, a protein that can contribute to the problems caused by old cells. These so-called “mummy cells” have stopped permanently separation, but the died port is associated with age-related diseases.
C15: 0 also activates special receptors that regulate immunity, metabolism, mood, sleep and appetite, said Venn-Watson.
Fatty15 users have reported to experience “slightly improved sleep duration” and “better sleep, but some crazy dreams”.
Customers say they have noticed hair and nail growth, which Venn-Watson believes in the ability of C15: 0 to strengthen mobile membranes.
How many C15: 0 do you need?
C15: 0 is found mainly in fat milk products such as milk, butter, sour cream and certain cheeses.
“You can get 75 milligrams of C15: 0 with a tablespoon of butter,” wrote Venn-Watson in The Lidgevity Nutrient.
High oleic sunflower oil also has many of it. Smaller quantities are found in meat, seafood and seeds.
A daily dose of 100 to 200 mg is recommended.
Capdo Capsule Fatty15 contains 100 mg C15: 0 (90-day starter set without reconciliation costs $ 149.95). To make it more accessible, the Venn-Watson team is developing C15: 0 as an ingredient that can strengthen food.
You need to get enough C15: 0, said Venn-Watson, because low levels can cause cell fragility syndrome.
It has linked this form of accelerated cell aging with an increased risk of type 2 diabetes, fatty liver trim and heart disease.
“Mounting studies support that cell fragility syndrome, present in more than three people, can help explain the alarming growth of these conditions, especially among young people,” Venn-Watson told The Post.
How long does it take to start?
About half of Fatty15 customers report noting benefits within two weeks, Venn-Watson said, while 72% say they see results within 16 weeks.
Dietary supplements like Fatty15 do not have to undergo the same rigorous testing as prescription medicines, but Venn-Watson ensures that “numerous safety studies and two controlled clinical evidence have not shown negative side effects”.
Is C15: 0 better than other molecules of longevity?
Rapamycin, which is supposed to prevent organs after transplant, has been greeted for its possible anti -aging effects.
Venn-Watson said that Fatty15 closely beat Rapamycin in a recent study of cell repair benefits and destroyed anti-diabetes drug metformin.
“Importantly, both Fatty15 and Rapamycin demonstrated anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-fibrotic, anticancer and antimicrobial activities, all are expected to help extend our health and longevity,” Venn-Watson said.
She stressed that Rapamycin can cause serious side effects – which recently pushed Bryan Johnson’s mogul to remove it from his regime
