Someone called the fashion police.
A local fashion week Nebraska is attracting a lot of attention to a jacket that seems to have a design of a swast.
Designer Kelli Molczyk entered the immediate fire as the outerwear was seen on the runway of Omaha Fashion Week at the end of February – and now she is pretending to be a misunderstanding.
“The design for the dress at Fashion Week Omaha came from an antique Pinwheel Remnant quilt that I was known in Central Nebraska two years ago,” she wrote in a state on Instagram.
“At no time did I believe that the Pinwheel model represented or described an attack, nor was it never my intention to design the dress with a swastik.”
Omaha’s Fashion Week Owner Brook Hudson admitted to the local KMTV output that staff makes a last way before the show, looking for things like security issues and “things that are offensive” – but they believe in Molczyk.
She added that three weeks before the show, designers are required to present their clothes for review, checking to make sure their parts are appropriate – and not all molczyk models were viewed because it was a head.
“This special designer we are talking about was a title designer. When you have a head, you are seasoned.
Hudson’s team immediately saw the issue when the models hit the runway.
“When the model returned, the whole production team was like in the text like ‘Oh Gosh IM that is a swastik we have to remove it immediately,” “Hudson said.
Ohma fashion week manufacturer went to Facebook to release a state over the situation last week, saying they were “terrified in the eyes of a hatred symbol walking on the runway.”
“The image is causing for many people. The more we say that our community does not allow for hate speech and we do not allow harassment, people will slip things. We stop them as soon as we know about it,” they write.
“The designer, who was also a panelist, was removed from her position and thought she was not allowed to return for the remaining events.”
Molczyk is no longer allowed to return to the of the side of the Panelist or its position, the state reiterated.
“I’ve never been part of a hate organization and I condemn them, in stronger terms, swastic and any form of speech or hateful behavior,” ended the molczyk its state. “To accompany me with any such act of hate or hatred groups is reproductive and defamatory.”
Hudson added that Ofw is now determining exactly what precautions to be taken, but all parts will be widely verified in the future.
