As if wearing a great name for the baby was not that difficult.
Newborns cannot even control their movements, but this is not stopping New Jersey hospitals from seeking parents for their baby’s favorite pronouns and sexual orientation.
The sexual identification questionnaire and gender identity of the inspirational Health requires new parents to “identify” their babies as “male, female, transgender, gender quer” or “additional gender category”.
Further asking parents to choose the word that best describes their baby: “Lezbian or homosexual, straight or heterosexual, self-described, in question/uncertain.”
The Health Care System operating four hospitals, two cancer centers and eight health centers across the form created by South Jersey to meet a new arrival of the garden state that required health care providers “to collect race, ethnicity, sexual orientation and gender identity in a competent cultural way.”
But many, from the parent to politicians, think that the newborn survey is absurd.
“This form is completely crazy, and anyone who will dictate the sexual orientation of a child probably has an agenda,” said Sandy Anello, 34, a mother and two living in Bridgewater, Nj. “If he were to tell me to fill this, I would tear it in front of them. It feels like we have entered the ‘twilight area’.
“Identify my child as gay on day 1 is crazy,” Jersey City Mom offered to be Carsen Rodgers, who is second in April. “I didn’t know about this form and I’m shocked.”
Sen Sen. New Jersey Jersey Schepisi (R-Bergen) told the post, “the whole thing lacks such a common sense and does not serve any purpose.
“Like Mom Myelf, I know you are exhausted after you are born, you have a newborn crying and trying to figure out how to feed it. To hand over that kind of form in the middle of everything that has no medical value, it makes no sense.”
Schepisi shared a photo of the Facebook form, sparkling disbelief, with many commentators who questioned the authenticity of the picture.
The legislator said she presents a draft law next week to review the language of New Jersey’s mandate, limiting such data collection for patients 16 and older.
Schepisi said the state mass was a last -minute addition to a package of bills approved by Trenton on June 30, 2022.
“What was the genesis of this bill?” Schepisi asked aloud. “How did you barely move any committee session on it so quickly?”
Schepisi suspects someone is buying demographic data from the state and “using it for some kind of purpose.”
Democrat of New Jersey State Sens. Joseph Cryan and Angela McKnight presented the draft law on June 23, 2022. They refused to comment.
Democrat Herbert Conaway, a former Assembly who was elected to the House of Representatives last year, also works on the -law.
“The draft law was modeled after an Indian statute and was created to provide public health officials the data needed to develop public health measures that effectively serve all New Jerseyans,” Cononia said in one country in the post.
“Good policy depends on the availability of complete and accurate data. By law, hospitals are required to collect and report demographic data on the patients they serve; However, no patient or parent is obliged to answer any questions that makes them uncomfortable.
“The newborns do not undergo this data collection because parents are not required to complete the form. Many health decisions for newborns are left at the discretion of parents. “
Representatives for NYC hospitals said they did not collect such data.
A representative of the inspirational health said the questionnaire “is required by New Jersey law” and pronounced parents “are allowed to refuse to provide this information”.
Inspirational had requested a renunciation of the state, but this has not yet been given.
