It was an emergency “evacuation”.
A passenger of Etihad Airways had to be taken with wheels from the plane after he threw over two dozen times during a six-hour flight from hell “-which he blames to eat a” bad smell “meal.
“He destroyed the early days of my holiday,” Cameron Callaghan, 27, Tod Kennedy News as he describes the messy flight. Now he is crossing his incident into “food poisoning” caused by the airline leaving to take “proper precautions” while guarding their light meal.
Stomach -on suffering happened Jan. 6 While the British were flying from Manchester, the UK to Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates on the way to his latest destination in Bangkok, Thailand, where he planned to enjoy a tropical departure.
Unfortunately, the flight was delayed for five hours, so Callaghan decided to put himself with an egg sandwich three hours before departure.
When the plane was finally published, Manchester’s native said he and other passengers were offered a “tomato, cheese, chicken pasta”, which is reported to have a bad smell.
“It came a little strange, but all kinds of plane food,” said the traveler, who devoured the light meal before setting a movie.
About 20 minutes later, he began to experience a heavy gastrointestinal turbulence.
“I had diarrhea twice and 10 minutes after that I was just being constantly jumping for the flight duration,” Callaghan recalled. “I threw probably about 30 times.”
The passenger added, “I was going to the toilet every five minutes, laying on the fetal position and at the end of the flight, I would empty my body so much that I couldn’t even stand up.”
He said his symptoms are said to be so severe that he had to “sit at the back of the plane with an air lady while she kept the toilet for me.”
Unfortunately, the pain was not just physical for Callaghan, who said it was “embarrassing” for people to go to the bathroom and see it “lying on the floor being ill.”
When they finally reached Abu Dhabi, the traveler was so weak that he could not raise his head and had to be helped.
“They had to take a wheelchair and they took me to the medical room at Abu Dhabi Airport,” acquainted Callaghan, who was praised by a doctor and administered an IV with a drip against the disease.
As the treatment seemed to be deceived, the remaining symptoms destroyed the beginning of the journey to Thailand of the passengers in bed, which was said to have been three years in doing.
Even after arriving in his fate, Callaghan said he felt as poor as “could not walk” and felt like he would “pass” – which he blamed for the dehydration caused by constant vomiting.
“The next two or three days after I arrived in Bangkok I was simply tied to the bed,” he complained. “It was only on the third day that I actually left the hotel and started exploring.”
Callaghan blamed his illness in the pasta, claiming, “I believe the food had been sitting since the original time the plane had to be removed and not stored properly.”
He felt that it could have been nothing else as he finally felt for three hours after eating the egg sandwich and had also consumed nothing the night before because he was stressed for his flight delayed.
A spokesman for Etihad has since been addressed in the test, claiming that their quick meal was unlikely to cause traveler’s disease.
“We get all such very serious issues and we fully investigate,” they said. “Our food in this flight, as with all our flights, was prepared and stored in strict temperature controlled conditions to ensure safety and quality.”
They added, “We received no report of illness from other passengers in this flight, who were served the same meal. Our first priority is always the safety and well -being of our passengers and Crurew.”
But Eitad’s meal Culpa did not sit well with Callaghan, who argued that he would not be sick 20 minutes after eating if he would come from their food. “
“It is unprofessional how they have treated everything,” Flyer stated frustrated.
As compensation, he demanded a refund for “flight from hell” along with an apology and acknowledging that their meal caused his illness, which he claimed made him fear the journey of return.
“After what I went through, I really don’t want to get into the plane, so I’m stuck in Thailand in the minute,” Callaghan said. “I’m going to argue my self on flying back so that doesn’t happen again.”
