They say that imitation is the most sincere form of flattery – but this woman is not so safe.
A New York City influencer has revealed the unexpected consequences that accompany the creation of content: cardboard cuttings of its images sold online.
“When I decided to make videos online, this is the last I thought,” said Kelsey Kotzur, 31, in a video posted on Tiktok.
Last fall, Brooklyn’s resident revealed that an unknown stranger was creating flat -sized figure of life in its likeness, seemingly drawing cotzur images off the Internet to turn into cardboard cuttings. But this week, she was “warned” that new variations had been added, with life -sized versions ranging nearly $ 80.
According to the site, the newest ranking, “Kelsey Kotzur (jeans) Cutout Cardboard”, is a “hot product”, with 26 views in the last 24 hours.
“Who is doing this to me?” – she asked in the title of the clip.
Products seem to be originally from the famous cuttings of the site, which sells a set of cardboard cuttings of List A, models, political figures and, yes, even influencing.
The cuttings of other internet personalities listed for sale include NYC Serena Kerrigan’s creator and brothers Jake and Logan Paul.
Kotzur previously revealed the cuts sold on Walmart’s website – though they have disappeared – but they were also available on eBay and Amazon.
The post contacted Kotzur and Celebrity Cutouts for comment.
While she seems to be able to see a little humor in her – her family even bought one of the cuts for them “troll”, she said – she said in the comments that she is not sure if she should be “scattered” or “freaked tf out”, calling the phenomenon “Insane”.
“Idk if I should laugh or be scared,” wrote a person to whom Kotzur replied, “Same”.
“That’s funny, but also so strange and scary. The duality of the Internet,” another comments said.
“This is the strangest thing, but also as … a compliment?
“I’m talking about it in the most beautiful way, but why will people buy this? (Who is not your family),” one viewer asks.
“I have told me direct my money, direct my check,” said another.
“Do this make you feel like you really did,” someone else jokes.
“That’s so weird … If you don’t make one for yourself as a gag gift … Who’s buying!” She shouted a user to whom she responds in voted, “I hate to think of her.”
