Welcome to McDonald’s – Can we remove your play area?
A disappointed fast food customer shared the sad reality of what the area of its local restaurant games looks like.
“This is so broken in the heart,” Nancy French wrote on X.
“I’m in a new McDonald in Franklin, TN and watching their” place “for children. Two screens/two chairs,” she wrote on a photo of the minimum play area.
The French then posted a following video showing the rest of the area, which deteriorated: two chairs in the corner of an empty room with tablets on the wall and an interactive lame game.
“I came back to make sure I didn’t miss something. It was this column that could be to make the kids exercise. But I don’t think that’s temporary. I think that’s it,” she shared.
When contacted by the post, one representative showed that the location in the French post is not indicative of the structure of any exclusivity.
“McDonald’s and our exclusivity are proud to provide family swelling spaces in many of our American restaurants,” they said in one state.
“While this restaurant has some interactive characteristics for new shells, it does not represent the full plastic model and experience.”
Back during the day, McDonald play areas were equipped with colorful slides, giant ball pits and entertainment interactive toys that were a key element in many people’s childhood.
It is often remembered as a children’s store with a stop to devour a happy meal, have a game with friends, maybe attend a classmate’s birthday party.
During the Covid-19 pandemia, McDonald’s was forced to close interior cafes and play areas across the country. Over the past few years, while eating has slowly reopening the interior areas, it also made plans to renovate many restaurants.
It seems that after renovating a location of an McDonald, one of the things that must change potentially is the play space, as emphasized in a tweet that showed a comparison before and after a place that was “stripped of color”.
The original Frenchman’s Tweet has over 16 million views and was also posted on Reddit, where hundreds of people commented on yarn reminiscent of the good old games days.
“Why do all the fast food countries so depressed? They were not like him again during the day. They were alive and weird. As much as it could be a fast food restaurant, ”wrote a nostalgic person.
“So happy I was to grow up in the 90s man,” says another comment.
Some people even expressed concern about today’s generation of children fixed by technology.

“Don’t go out. Look at the screen, kids, ”joked in a commenter.
“I absolutely hate that. Generation of IPAD children. We will see the generation with the lowest attention space of all time, ”another wrote.
