Prepare to be air war!
Delta Air Lines revealed plans to revolutionize air travel with a new fighter -style passenger plane aimed at maintaining emissions and fuel costs and can fly as early as 2027.
Airliner is partnership with Jetzero, a California -based startup, to bring the innovative and durable body mixed with the body as part of the global carrier to reach carbon neutrality by 2050, announced Wednesday Delta Air Lines.
The light air of the air which differs from the traditional shape of the tube and the arm-is expected to have more than 250 passengers and will provide a much quieter journey with the engine mounted on the plane roof.
“Work with Jetzero to realize a completely new air framework for clients and employees is a bold and important job to advance the air industry fuel saving initiatives and innovation goals,” said Amelia Deluca, Delta Chief, Delta Sustainability Officer.
“While Delta is focused on doing what we can today to address our carbon footprint, it is critical that we also work with a variety of partners to advance revolutionary technologies, such as Jetzeo’s mixed body, to solve for a part of the future.”
The partnership comes after starting a grant from the US Air Force in 2023 to help easily build a full -scale demonstrator for its daughters’ flight by 2027, the airline said.
Delta will provide operational expertise to help the technology applicable in trade and design the internal cabin of the aircraft, which will include improved space of upper bins, accessible places and laundry, and fewer lines.

Airline officials said its goal is for the glossy aircraft to run with stable aviation fuel.
Jetzero’s associate and CEO Tom O’Leary said his company is working to “change the world” by presenting a first plane of its kind that will reduce air energy costs and associated emissions.
“The ability to make such important efficiency profits in the near future means influencing the industry engagement to reach Neto-Zero emissions by 2050 and will serve as the foundation on which other technologies and efficiency can be realized,” he said.
