Nearly a quarter of Americans undress in the shower regularly, according to new research.
A study of 2,000 Americans of the total population found that 12% do this day while 12% others in spraying them several times each week.
A quarter of the millennia even showed that peeing in the shower is a daily practice, compared to only 13% of Gen X and 6% of children’s boomers.
By gender, 30% of men do this regularly, along with 20% of women, according to the survey conducted by Talker Research.
In total, 45% of Americans undress in the shower throughout the average year.
Clint Kreider, licensed marriage and family therapist with Still Waternss Group, offers a psychological overview of what some would consider to be a taboo practice.
“Peeing in the shower often reflects our modern obsession with multitasking – even in the moment intended for relaxation,” Kreider said.
“For some, it is a sharp rebellion against social rules”; “For others, it is complete efficiency. Why wait when you’re already there? But let’s not overlook the symbolism: shower is one of the few places we are just with trolley with our thoughts. If a quick tinks bring a sense of liberation, lean – you just don’t make it a TED Talk.
“Habits formed in private spaces often reflect how we treat stress. If shower searching becomes a mandatory need to ‘optimize’ every second, it can signal deeper anxiety for lack of time. Ladies, pelvic floor therapists rightly warn that the movement or ‘push’ of the middle rod can unnecessarily strain the muscles. Think about it as a metaphor: forcing anything (even syrup) under pressure rarely ends well. “
Only 39% showed that they are the only user of their shower.
Two in five (41%) share with their partner, while 18% share it with their children.

And for all the use it receives, the results found that the American average cleans their shower nine times a year.
At the top of the urination, Americans also sing (27%), plan the following day (23%) and reflect the day before (19%) while in the shower.
Almost one in four millennia (23%) even find those who think about work or crying (15%).
The results also found that Americans believe that average shower should only last 13 minutes.
Perhaps to leave time for the bathroom on top of peeing, singing, reflection and crying, the average millennium believes a shower should take a total of 17 minutes.
“If you are going to go a fraudulent, rinse it completely. However, mentally, consider this: What other little joys, without guilt can you recover in daily rituals? Maybe it’s singing out-of-the-key or dreaming. The shower steam offers a white tile – use it to wash more than just soap, ”Kreider said.
“Life is too short for your PEE police. Just aim wisely, laugh often and keep in mind-the best care is everything that allows you to get out of the shower to feel easier. “
