Barista Starbucks reveals faux after client that can get you a free drink – if you are not rude

A barista in the coffee chain recently took on Reddit to share a compilation of a star that she received after a interaction she expected to end up with a free drink for the client.

The poster shared a view of the review by a father named Emily reading, “As someone coming every day, I will never come here again.”

Review continued, “My card didn’t work in the app (which is weird [because] I had money) and the guy who checked me was rude for this and said I had to hand him over again but I could ‘keep the water for free’ [what]? ? Across a $ 4 drink – everyone lost an eternal customer. “

At Reddit Post, Barista shared their perspective.

“It was on the move, she was driving a tesla. She got a $ 7 and a water. None of her cards worked and then she asked me ‘I come here every day, can I pay for tomorrow?’ ‘All I said was’ no’. Nothing else!” They write.

Barista continued to say that they were planning to let the client drink for free – but the reaction did not go as hoped.

“She gave me the drink again uncompromising, because I would actually let her have it because she already had it. And I felt bad about her,” they shared. “She turned it and left.

Barists and other patrons all tried in the conversation, sharing that they could connect with history.

“This is funny because if you are good, the bartender will generally give you it. I once forgotten my wallet and they just gave me for free. He made a regular for life because of that,” shared one.

The original poster responds, “My intention was to simply give it to her because she already had it. But now that I see who she really is, I’m very happy I didn’t.

Another client wrote, “This happened to me once! The app was staring at and I had trouble paying and the bartender was like, ‘Don’t worry about it. Enjoy your coffee. It was so good and I never forgotten.”

“This !! I actually had a barista salary for my drink once because I had planned to use my second money on my home card. It turns out I was a short dollar and Barista said ‘I gotchu’ and paid for the rest. I am still trying to catch it in a change, in order to buy a drink!

The original poster showed that the client who wrote the bad review “Returned next morning” – so while Starbucks did not lose a “faithful customer”, the client lost in a free drink, or any free drink in the future.

“She is now famous in my shop/district,” poster wrote in a comment. “I went back to work today and everyone was telling me how much she dared as I was so beautiful with her.”
