Men may have hardened external, but new strange research has found that they fall in love almost twice as fast as women.
Academics at the Australian National University surveyed 808 young adults from 33 different countries, including the United States, to discover the differences between the sexes when it comes to romance.
The findings found that the average man requires just over four weeks to fall on their heads on the heel, while women move much slower.
“The average outcome of the progress of love for women was 1.92 months after the formation of romantic relationships while for men it was 0.98 months, indicating that men fell in love for approximately a month faster than women,” the resorts said in their work, published in different sex biology.
Not only do men fall in love much faster than women, they also fall in love more often.
The men surveyed had been in love on average 2.6 times compared, while for women it was 2.3 times.
Those surveyed for the research were all aged between 18 and 25 years old.
Given that the average participant had already been in love many times despite the relatively young age, research suggests that romantic love is quite common.
Many young people are likely to continue to fall in love several times during their lives.
In the meantime, research found that as men fall in love more often and faster, women are more likely to experience strong forms when they finally perform.
“Women had the highest intensity of romantic love, higher commitment and higher obsessive thinking for a loved one than men,” academics said.
“Men will have fallen in love faster than women because the opposite fitness landscape favors the amount of potential materials on quality, while the opposite is true for women,” they further explained.
“All this is in line with sexual change in the choice of partners, with women who are more chosen than men.”
