Hidden underground spy tunnels that inspired James Bond’s novels can become the next attraction in the world that cannot be lost

This is a maze.

An widespread maze of abused underground spy tunnels in the center of the James Bond novels can become the next London attraction may not be missing.

The neglected network, covering an underground area extending to about 86,000 square meters, is set to open to the public by 2028.

Down-Berow destination will be a museum museum, memorial part, art gallery part, Hub cultural part and night point, with the deepest grass in the world, CNN reported.

Construction is expected to begin at the end of next year, in the amount of about $ 149 million.

The team behind the project hope that the space will eventually have three visitors a year – at the same time as the National Gallery and more popular than the London Tower, two more local attractions.

Built between the 1940s and 1942 as a deep level of air attack, tunnels were handcuffed by the British in response to the Blitz-one of the eight similar structures.

Extending over 365 meters long and 5 meters wide, the two parallel “roads” run along the northern and central underground lines of the city.

Their original goal was to provide security from the Nazi bombing, but with Germany’s attention later turning to Russia, the space was never needed as it was thought.

Instead, the tunnels found a new, secret high role, becoming the headquarters for the executive of special operations, a result of MI6, the British Intelligence Agency.

Ian Fleming, the author of the novels James Bond, worked there in 1944, inspiring the creation of the famous Bond branch.

The other tunnel claim to the celebrities came in 1949 when they became Britain’s “hot line” home in the United States during the Cold War – an essential connection of communication during the 1962 Cuban missile crisis.

Until the 1980s, the British Telecom took over the site, turning it into the deepest licensed bar in the world – but only reported to staff.

Bar, with billiard tables and a tropical fish reservoir, hosted a flowering social scene – which the team after the new project wants to revive, planning a large central bar for several hundred guests.

Many of the relics from the past – large generators, nice cars and wrap packs – remain and will soon be available to visitors in a section of history and heritage.

Other areas will be used for rotary art exhibitions, interactive structures and comprehensive display.
