Girl Scout also said that glyphosate “is found almost everywhere in the food chain”.

“The amounts of glyphosate tracks can be found in fresh fruits, vegetables, cereals, ripe goods and other food goods and drinks,” the blog said.

A “Question and Answer” page about the Glyphosate found on the FDA website provides more details about the use of herbicides in certain crops.

“Some trace amounts of pesticides, or chemical residues of pesticides, can stay in or in some ancient after they are harvested,” FDA said.

“The role of the FDA is to ensure that the chemical residues of pesticides in or in household and imported foods do not exceed the boundaries set by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).”

EPA “has created tolerance for glyphosate in a wide range of crops of human and animal food, including corn, soybeans, oil seeds, grains and some fruits and vegetables.”

“According to EPA, Glyphosate has a low toxicity for humans.”
