An extreme frugal coupon says she is so good in using coupons that saved her $ 12,000, has financial freedom and has even been able to abandon her full -time work.
Taryn Blanensship, 28, started the fist – using signs she finds online and in newspapers to get money from her purchases – during the pandemic.
When food prices began to grow, Taryn became “fixed” with a discount hunt to help her lower her food bill.
She had spent an average of $ 150 week on grocery, but has managed to reduce the cost of the foot shop to $ 40-Thank you for her passion to find the best deals.
Taryn said she saves $ 3,000 a year, which has enabled her to quit her full-time job in a nursing home and “live freely”-focusing on her craft business.
Taryn, an owner of self -employed stores by Wichita, Kansas, SH.BA, said: “When it comes to shopping, I would say I am using coupon for all my items or taking it for 75% off or free.
“I manage to save $ 3,000 or more a year and have saved about $ 12K over the past four years.
“This allowed me to give up my work in early 2024 and I wouldn’t be able to do so if it weren’t for the coupon.
“I was able to save about $ 100 a week as I was not spending money on essentials.
“I didn’t have to buy any essentials – like laundry, shampoo, toothpaste – since 2020.”
Taryn startup coupon in January 2021, it used discount – a online purchase app – and got five packs of razers for $ 1 – and got $ 5 back for each package from an anti app.
“Since then, I’ve been obsessed with the coupon,” she said.
“Almost every item – from caring for laundry to food – I get for free but with a discount.
“As a couponer, you won’t pay full price for many items – I won’t buy anything if I’m not getting it for free or with a very good discount.
Taryn quickly tied up with fist and would use applications for cash return or traditional paper coupons to save money from its store.
Using coupons, and taking advantage of the deals, she has been able to get her store from $ 150 to $ 40 a week.
Taryn said: “My local shop has a program where they score food in Clearce, some of the articles are in the days of expiration.
“When I go to food shopping, I make purchasing in cleaning than what I want to eat that week.
“In my local store, you can use digital coupons and cleaning prices.
“Everything in the store expires so at some point it will be on the permit.”
It is a year, Taryn will save about $ 3KA year after she did not have to spend money on essentials.
She holds a reserve in her home which she adds since 2020 and when an article is finished, she will simply catch her from storage.
The savings she made allowed her to leave her full work in a care home and focus on her passions.
Taryn said: “I have not had to buy essentials at home since 2020.
“I’ve been able to save that money and leave my job.
“I know that when I wanted to leave my job, I wouldn’t have to buy anything new and I am assigned for a year.
“Since leaving my full -time work, I have been able to focus on my craft business and create content.
“I have time to do whatever I want – has given me freedom.”
Taryn often uses its savings frugal to support its community.
She will often give essential items she has kept away from low -income families.
Taryn said: “Last year, I donated over 50 tubes of toothpaste, 40 cleaning boxes and more.
“I will donate it to my local country that gives her hygiene products to see income families.”
