They may have to stand inside, but this central London house will cost buyers an arm and a leg.
With $ 1.02 million, this 8 -foot house is in the market in the popular neighborhood of the city of Clerkenwell.
Known as “The Wee House”, this former 650-square-foot book was recently remodelled with graceful features and room needed for Bereat, Standard reported.
The house is five high stories and only one deep room, including only 8 meters to its broader point.
However, the house includes a full kitchen, a bedroom, a separate dining room, a waiting room, a study and a roof terrace. The bedroom adapts to a small double bed and the dining room currently sits six. On the fifth floor, a large skyright washes the study in the light.
The front of the house was also remodeled, with its name proudly displayed on the outside of the concrete.
Before redesigning, the house suffered from a inefficient floor plan, with a small kitchen and a bathroom filled at the base level. When the owner hired architect Joe Wright, he knew he did not want her to feel like a small house with hidden tables and attractive beds, but a real house, reported Wright blog.
In addition to moving the kitchen to the first floor and transforming the base into a bedroom, the architect added a triangular stretch on the back of the house. The small half of the lands between the stairs made space wide but discreet for the less aesthetic homeownership needs – a boiler room with a washing machine, electronics and lead.
However, some of these additions sought to understand acrobatics.
“This small extension, completely broken down in the middle [neighboring] The buildings were the architectural master, despite being so difficult to finish that builders had to go down in space, ”the Wright’s blog said.
The extension includes two wet rooms, a library and one service room.
The price label of more than $ 1 million not only counts on graceful updates, but attractive location. Clerkenwell was named the best place to live in London last year by the Sunday Times, calling the neighborhood where Dickens’ Oliver Twist learned to choose the “Pinnacle of London Living” pockets.
