Is called maternity leave – Not maternity sitting at home.
After birth, an anxious Esther Draycott, 31, was not ready to spend perfectly paid time, talking to her newborn – on the contrary, the professional midwife from the UK caught her family growing and departed for a Traveling back to the southeast.
“Many people thought our plans were crazy,” told Motion Luxury Travel Dayy. “I don’t think they believe we would go with until we reserve the fighting.”
Tightening only a check bag to keep it, husband Daniel, 13-year-old daughter Bella and Baby Reuben Clock for their six-month adventure, the adventurous crew announced their 11-end itinerary to their family and headed to the airport .
“[The idea to travel the world came after our] Honeymoon in Thailand. “[Daniel and I] He fell in love with Southeast Asia and realized that we had seen many lives and worlds, said the National Health Service worker.
“We wanted to do some traveling on their own, but it was impossible. I saw an online post for another NHS [new mom] who was traveling during the birth of maternity [and felt inspired]”Esther was about Esther.
“We did not reserve the flights until Reuben was born and we knew we were both healthy enough to travel,” she said.
Relatives disappeared, she agreed, losing so much Reuben’s first year. But they were supportive, saying they were happy about her “amazing opportunity”.
“My biggest feeling was our health while we are far away, but I was treated for a sinus infection and private health care here is extraordinary and I was assured that we were out …
“I’m also breast -feeding Reuben, so I know he’s getting a lot of antibodies – and I don’t have to worry about creating or sterilizing the bottles,” she continued.
To make the journey happen, Daniel took a Saturday from his engineering work and received approval from Bella’s school – after being pleased that the trip would be educational for the young man.
As reported by what is already, the couple are relying on savings and some inheritance money. They left soon after Reuben’s birth last June, and were already in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand.
They will be on the road until April, with stops in Malaysia, South Africa and the Maldives to come.
And despite the negative comments she has received on the line and offline – the peripheral parent runs an Instagram account documenting their trips – Esther believes the whole thing has been “amazing” for developing her baby.
“There is a children’s sensory wherever we go with all the different sighs, aromas and sounds. He happens in his carrier and loves all the attention he receives from the local. He is such a happy and quiet child, ”she said.
“We plan our activities to avoid the heat of the noon and we reserve our accommodation one or two days in advance, which gives us the flexibility to stay determined and remain if we feel the need. We know he would remember the journey but We feel lucky enough to spend every day as a family when he is growing so fast. ”
While for some experienced parents, the concept may sound like a nightmare that expects to happen, Esther assures that the whole thing has been a breeze relatively.
“It has been much easier than we envisioned. There are a few days or boring nights where he wakes up a lot, but being away does not make him more difficult, ”she suggested.
In fact, Esther encourages others to experience extreme family experience, even saying that people can grow how little before planning they need for a trip like this.
“We planned so carefully what we would pack, but we didn’t need most of it or we could have bought it here. We would have packaged less if we knew,” she said.
And she hopes her experience ultimately help others follow her steps.
“When I was looking for advice and trying to research by traveling with a child, I couldn’t find much,” she said.
“I build trust by seeing another woman on social media and blogs who are doing the same. It would be good if sharing our experience could help families travel,” Esther excited.
“We’re spending an amazing time and we get it all as it comes.”
