The British traveller, 21, was flying from the Isle of Man to Belfast with a stopover at Manchester Airport, with her checked bag weighing 42 pounds when she left the first airport.

When she finally arrived in Manchester, Crowther’s suitcase went through the conveyor belt, but it was considerably lighter.

The easyJet help desk told her to contact Manchester Airport as the plane she flew to Belfast had already been inspected and there were no bags left.

An easyJet spokesperson responded to the experience, saying: “We were sorry to learn of Ms. Crowther’s experience.
