Inside a luxury $300 million Doomsday members-only bunker with AI-powered medical suites and indoor pools

A luxury $300 million members-only doomsday bunker, complete with robotic medical suites, luxury swimming pool and gourmet restaurants, will revolutionize how the rich and powerful can shelter in an apocalyptic disaster.

Due to open in the summer of 2026, the state-of-the-art underground castle will offer a 5-star survival experience to the lucky few willing to shell out $20 million for a single membership, of which there are only 625 available.

The bunker, which has been dubbed the Aerie, will be part of a network of similar sanctuaries that cater to the 1%, offering them a unique opportunity to protect their future, regardless of the disasters that may await.

It’s a far cry from the off-the-grid homes and nuclear-hardened shelters favored by traditional doomsday preppers—some of whom have gained viral stardom by showing the many ways in which they’re preparing themselves and their families to survive a possible social collapse.

But where more stereotypical preppers have vegetable patches and remote cabins, Aerie offers “AI-powered” medical care, “wellness programs” and the promise of “the blend of protection and luxury” in a way that’s never been done before.

The bunker is the work of SAFE (Strategically Armored & Fortified Environments), a Virginia-based company that specializes in secure property designs. The company has previously won acclaim for creating all sorts of unique bunkers, including one fitted with a Formula 1 track.

Still, Aerie surpasses anything the company has uncovered in the past, according to SAFE founder and president Al Corbi, who says the underground shelter will transform the high-end security space.

The bunker will cost the construction business $300 million to complete, with Safe charging the top class a $20 million fee to enter the high-tech structure.

Al and SAFE’s director of medical preparedness, Naomi Corbi, reveals exclusively to Realtor.com® that they will offer four levels of membership, noting that the cheapest can be afforded by a “moderately successful CEO,” while a top secret level known as ‘Membership of the Asylum’ will be by invitation only, with security tycoons admitting the ‘board’ is still deciding who will be lucky enough to take up the offer of entry to luxury in the defense center.

SAFE plans to build the luxury underground pods in each of the 50 US states, but has chosen to build the first in Virginia, just outside Washington, DC, where President-elect Donald Trump will take office for a second term in January . 20, 2025.

The decision to locate the first Aerie bunker in Virginia was, according to Al, purely “strategic” and was in no way motivated by the changing political landscape, but rather a desire to provide those who can afford membership a suitable place. in which to do this.

Speaking about the decision to locate the first Aerie in DC, Al insisted, “It’s a coincidence, but it’s the richest state per capita. It’s ground zero for the best demographic for something like this in the world.”

Although the underground dwelling will be decked out with a number of luxury amenities, such as wellness areas, gourmet dining and a robotic medical suite for doctors, the main purpose of the bunker is to keep its residents safe from harm, even those who are quite rich. to secure one of the defense center’s high-end penthouses.

Far from being just a place to sit during a global crisis, Al notes that the bunker can be used on a more temporary basis, explaining that members can hide inside it whenever they feel their safety is threatened.

He explains that the setup was actually inspired by one of SAFE’s clients, who spent $103 million to install a custom security system in his home, only to get caught up in a concert massacre. Far from his home, the client had nowhere to turn when the shooting began.

“Imagine you’re one of the richest and most powerful people in the world and then the unthinkable happens and you’re just a regular guy with nowhere to go right now,” says Al. “Going to a hotel is not the same as going to a holy place that awaits you.”

Naomi describes Aerie Bunkers as a “home away from home” for their “most famous and infamous clients”.

They reveal that while the bunkers will take several years to open, the first experience center will be available to the wealthy in 2026 and will allow the wealthy to spend money to buy a shelter.

Security experts noted that Aerie is a “must have” for the wealthy who already “love” the idea, adding that they have memberships limited to 625 and have already had “thousands” of requests from elites to join.

Speaking about the types of disasters Aerie can provide protection against, Al tells Realtor.com that they anticipate the problem being “civil unrest.”

He notes that SAFE bunkers can even protect people in the event of fires such as the devastating California wildfires that have already killed 27 people, per Cal Fire.

“Fires could go over the bunkers and everyone would be saved indefinitely,” reveals Al.

The defense professor confesses that although they have created a series of protective pads for many A-listers, they are unable to share their names publicly.

Meanwhile, Ron Hubbard, the founder and CEO of Atlas Survival Shelters, which has built a slew of luxury bunkers for the richest A-listers like Kim Kardashian, the Tate brothers, Mr. Beast and more, echoes Al’s thoughts and notes that the luxury protective pads will come in handy when the “civil war” happens.

Speaking to Realtor.com, Hubbard also reveals that he believes that dirt bunkers will be the “standard” when homes are built in the next two to three years.

Speaking to Forbes, Al and Naomi further detailed the perks residents will expect inside.

Naomi, director of medical training, explained that the bunker was made with wellbeing in mind. SAFE

“Aerie’s impenetrable residences include SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities) compliant environments for maximum privacy and security. Each facility features AI-powered medical suites, gourmet dining and wellness programs, which will blend protection and luxury.”

Naomi explained that the bunker was created with well-being in mind, as the wealthy are more involved with unlocking the key to the fountain of youth.

“The wealthy are becoming more interested in wellness and longevity offerings as part of their fortified residences. Aerie will use advanced medical care integrated with AI, connecting members with specialists around the clock,” she said.

After spending over millions on their protective pads, Aerie members are given the opportunity to customize their bunkers with a variety of amenities.

For security purposes, every bunker is underground, except for the members’ club and under the roof; however, safety-conscious millionaires will still be able to enjoy the views from below ground thanks to interactive walls, ceilings and special lighting effects that provide residents with panoramic views that create the illusion of being perched on top of a cliff.

Aerie members are also given the option to customize their bunkers. SAFE

Al added: “The whole reason Aerie was created is that after building multi-million dollar shelters for our clients on their properties and superyachts, they still left their protected homes in places with a lower level of protection. When something terrible happens, they can use one of the bunkers and facilities in the city they are in.

“Aerie is a multifaceted club where members can conduct business in complete privacy due to SCIF, airspace and wired environments. The Sentinel System protects the privacy, security and freedom of its members underground.”

In addition to the sense of security, the bunkers give the wealthy a great deal of living space, with individual suites coming in at 2,000 square feet and rooftop pods offering up to 20,000 square feet of space.

The penthouse areas are described as “the pinnacle of exclusivity, resilience and luxury” and feature blast-resistant walls and ballistic glass.

SECURT builders clearly thought of everything when it comes to combining safety and luxury as residents can head to the stately medical suites when feeling under the weather.

The disease centers, known as MediShield, offer full intensive care, offering life-saving techniques to the elite thanks to its cutting-edge AI technology, which sees robots double up as doctors.

SAFE describes the medical fields, “The company’s team of highly specialized medical professionals will provide the same standards of the White House Medical Unit directly to you. The latest robotic services provide high-level medical care and emergency response, regardless of location.”

Individual suites are 2,000 square feet and penthouses are 20,000 square feet. SAFE

After receiving the Grade A treatment from the robots, guests can immerse themselves in the cold immersion centers where they can improve their circulation and improve their mental health.

When everyone is cool, residents can go into the IV therapy room, where they can get nutrients delivered directly into their bodies.

The room, which is decked out in blue lighting and cushioned reclining chairs, will offer personalized IV treatments that will help boost immunity and reduce fatigue.

After a long day of wellness treatments, the wealthy few can take a dip in the stunning pool, which is 20 stories below ground; however, thanks to futuristic technology, residents will feel like they are looking at a magnificent skyline.

Al gushes about Aerie, noting that it would forever change the way bunkers are experienced, adding, “We’re creating sanctuaries and doomsday bunkers to prepare for the unthinkable.”
