My husband ruined my wedding day with two simple words – he has been stalking me for years

A woman has reflected on the moment she knew her marriage was doomed after her husband whispered two words to her the moment they said ‘I do’.

The bride, @noiwontthanks, took to TikTok to talk about the heartbreaking moment, saying the incident has “haunted” her for 11 years.

“My husband ruined our wedding day,” she wrote in the viral video before disappearing.

She admitted that she wasn’t planning to share the story, but was recently forced to do so after witnessing many other women who “realised that the day they got married they made a mistake”.

More than a decade ago, the woman and her boyfriend, who had only been together for four months, decided to go to a judge to get married.

She preferred to avoid the attention that came with a big wedding.

After they were married at the local court, everything seemed “good” and the bride was “very happy”.

However, a little while later, the groom said two words that he would remember forever.

The couple had been married for just 60 seconds when the judge, who enjoyed officiating weddings, said he would like to hear from them in 10 years to get an update on their relationship.

The bride agreed and said she would love to do so and joked, “I hope I fit into the same dress.”

“My husband of about 60 seconds didn’t miss a beat and he said ‘or smaller,'” she explained, adding that it later led to a fight.

She said she looked at her husband’s face for context clues, but he wasn’t laughing.

“I died inside and froze like a statue. I just felt like I couldn’t even breathe, she continued.

It felt like the beginning of the end of their relationship – and it really was.

“I was just heartbroken. I saw the referee and he sat on the floor. He said, “Son, you just got married,” and then I was like, oh, I’m not crazy. My intuition is correct. I’m not crazy. This is bad.

Despite the bumpy start, the woman stayed with her husband for a decade before they finally divorced.

She claimed she suffered years of “psychological abuse”, “gas lighting” and “love bombing” and still believes the wedding day comment was a red flag of things to come.

“He would convince me that I am crazy or dramatic. But I’m none of those things, actually.

“He hated my courage from the beginning. I hope this helps [other people]⠀ .
