Screaming flight causes flight delay one hour after refusing to fasten seat belt

What a button.

An elderly mother caused an hour-long flight delay after refusing to fasten her seatbelt – and even screamed when flight attendants tried to calm her down, as seen in a racy video.

The outage occurred aboard a Batik Air flight that was scheduled to travel from Vietnam to Malaysia, Jam Press reported. Crew members had been conducting pre-takeoff checks of the cabin when they noticed that the passenger in question, who was flying with her child, was not wearing a seat belt.

When asked to wear it, the Vietnamese national became angry. In the footage, filmed on a passenger’s phone, the irate passenger can be seen going at it with a female crew member standing over her in the aisle.

“Respect to the flight attendant (pictured), luckily I wasn’t the one who had to deal with it,” said one commenter on the video. I’m Press

Don’t yell at me, – said the flight attendant, while the passenger kept yelling, – you showed me your face.

The flight attendant weathered the verbal barrage, calmly saying that the seat belt “is for safety purposes, not only for you, but also for your child.”

“I don’t care, I don’t have to listen to you,” the flyer shouted.

Eyewitnesses claimed the fight resulted in an hour-long delay, during which authorities boarded the Boeing 737 and escorted Hellion off the plane. The video showed passengers cheering as the bozo disembarked.

Commenters were quick to chastise the flyer and also praised the crew member for keeping his cool under pressure.

“Respect to the flight attendant, luckily I wasn’t the one who had to deal with it,” said one commenter on the video.

Another wrote: “If the woman doesn’t want to wear a seat belt, that’s up to her, the risk is on her.”

“Not if the plane goes through turbulence, she’ll be thrown around like she’s in a washing machine, falling on other passengers and injuring them,” wrote a third.

Indeed, experts claim that turbulence poses the greatest threat of physical injury on airplanes.

During the deadly Singapore Airlines turbulence incident in March – where the plane fell 6,000 feet in just a few minutes – the passengers most affected were said not to be wearing seat belts.

“There was a very dramatic drop, so everyone sitting and not wearing their seat belts immediately jumped to the ceiling,” recalled Dzafran Azmir, a 28-year-old student who was on board the ill-fated plane.
