Love is a game – here’s how to score a hit.
Scrolling through apps in hopes of finding a suitable significant other can sometimes feel like throwing a Hail Mary.
But in January. 5, hailed the “Super Bowl Sunday” of online dating, singles looking for a soulmate can match, design and secure a dream boyfriend for 2025, or so says Dating.com expert Bela Gandhi.
“With 46.4% of the US adult population single, falling in love is one of the top choices for almost half of America,” Gandhi tells The Post.
“Sundays are busiest [online dating] weekdays and the Sunday after New Year’s is at the top,” the pro continued, adding that 33% of veins update their bios and profile pictures during the first week of a new year to attract new bait.
And she’s not pretending
Virtual cupids from Tinder previously told The Post that the number of messages sent on “Dating Sunday” increases by 22%, users respond 19.4 minutes faster than any other Sunday of the year and the number of “likes” on the app. increases by 18.2%.
And as people expand their personal profiles, an estimated 58.7 million more likes and 11.4 million more messages will be sent on the app compared to the rest of the year, according to insiders.
That’s good news for the loveless singles of NYC, which has recently been deemed the “worst city” to make a romantic match.
It’s likely to be even more heartening for the worldwide collection of unwanted girlfriends and wives who, according to the time-tested “grape theory,” plucked 12 of the fruity orbs right at the crack of dawn in the hope of bring to mind create a cute friend right after the calendar change.Â
But Gandhi’s advice for finding a lover online is a little less mystical and a lot more realistic.
Here are her tips for starting the new year in the ultimate love zone.
Be the no. 1 draft picture
Have five to six great photos of yourself.
Your first photo should be a clear, high-resolution photo where you’re looking straight at the camera and smiling, looking warm and trustworthy, you can create an instant visual rapport.
After the body shots too, Gandhi tells The Post – people want to see you from head to toe. If you only have headshots, it might look like you’re hiding something.
It’s all about the MVP (the most vivid pictures)
Your photos must be recent – no more than a year old! Â
Get rid of photos where people can’t tell who you are because you’re surrounded by friends. We all have buds – your dating profile doesn’t need to prove it.
You are the person they are looking to meet, so having photos is enough you – not your kids, food, sunsets, etc.
Don’t be afraid to deliver
Have someone objectively review your photos.
Studies show that we don’t choose the best photos of ourselves, so ask people you trust to help you choose your best photos.
Avoid phone clutter
You don’t want to give your real mobile number to a bunch of strangers. We can often be “googled” our mobile numbers
Dating.com offers a video date feature, allowing users to connect deeper and more securely and take their relationships to the next level.Â
Keep your head in the game
As you message back and forth with people, end each message with a question. If not, you’re dropping the ball.
And there’s nothing more annoying to people than when you don’t keep your end of the conversation.
Remember, you are a winner
Show some personality – use emojis and exclamation points, although not excessively. We lose so much context when we just text back and forth. Â
Warm up your message with a smiley face, a heart and an exclamation point to show you’re fun and warm.Â
This is it note a self employed!
