Known for sharing a range of beauty tips and tricks, Waters often draws attention to the shocking difference between her ‘before’ and ‘after’ looks – and says she doesn’t mind being called a catfish.

“I’m known as one of the biggest catfish on the internet,” Waters boasted.

In a recent viral video that racked up 6.6 million views, Waters showed off the transparent facial tape that’s responsible for her flawless transformation.

“I like to use face strips and makeup to change my look, to look a little more youthful,” she said.

When strategically placed, the tape lifts her cheeks and softens wrinkles, giving her a more youthful and sculpted appearance.

“It’s almost like Photoshop in real life,” she explained, showing her followers how it’s done.

Facial tape involves pulling back the skin on the cheek and applying multiple pieces of tape.

After all this, Waters puts a piece of string behind her head to secure the lift.

She also uses a smaller piece of tape on her jaw to improve the contour of her face. The result is a lifted, wrinkle-free look.

Although some viewers were skeptical, questioning whether the tapes could stretch the skin over time, many were impressed by her transformation.

Waters isn’t the only one to have discovered the secret to facial taping, a beauty hack being touted by many influencers as an inexpensive alternative to Botox.

If you scroll on TikTok, the #facetaping hashtag has millions of views, with many people posting videos of themselves taping their entire faces before bed to stay young.

The hashtag is not a gimmick.

According to Mississippi-based dermatologist Dr. Lindsey Zubritksy, also known on TikTok as @dermguru, taping your face to prevent wrinkles can they actually work – but only temporarily.

“It’s almost like Photoshop in real life,” she explained, showing her followers how she uses the tapes alongside makeup to alter her features.

“Face tracking only works when the tape is in place,” said Dr. Zubritsky previously told The Post. “The face mask helps hide wrinkles and tighten and tighten the skin. It also helps prevent muscle movements that lead to wrinkles. However, this is not a long-term solution and has no permanent benefits.”

“For example, if it’s worn at night when we’re sleeping, it won’t help reduce facial movements that lead to wrinkles.”

The doctor clarified, however, that taping is not a substitute for Botox.

“Botox lasts anywhere between 3-6 months and paralyzes the facial muscles the entire time before it wears off, thus preventing muscle movement that leads to fine lines and wrinkles (also known as dynamic rhytides),” Dr. – explained Zubritsky.

Dermatologist Mamina Turegano, who runs her own practice in Louisiana, also pointed out that face masks can only temporarily reduce facial wrinkles.

She noted that taping can be a “cheaper alternative” for those who can’t afford Botox and don’t mind it not having a permanent effect.

“However, I think good skin care, including sunscreen and collagen-building ingredients (like retinoids and antioxidants) will be better for the skin than picking at it,” she previously told The Post. .
